Saturday.

Well, we drank too much last night, but we really did have a good time. That was the most fun I have had in a long while and it was just with two of my best boys. Who knew?

So this morning was a slow start. The kids and I made breakfast and then had a slow-moving morning until we decided to head over to the old house to try to start cleaning. It turned out we still had way more stuff over there than we thought, so it was mostly continuing to pack more instead of cleaning, and neither of us was that into it. So, my goal was reevaluated to having everything out of the house this weekend and then I can go over there by myself without the kids to clean instead of dragging everyone out to do it. That made a lot more sense.

Other than that, Stu's old friend Dave and his wife and kids stopped by to see the house. Dave and Stu worked together before we left for the Middle East, so other than Kyle, is his oldest friend here. They have kept in contact all these years and they were super excited for us. I can't believe how old their kids are now though!

Because of the late start, I decided to just go grocery shopping and come home instead of going back to the old house, and then we decided on "snack night" (see below) for dinner. One of our faves. We watched the last game of the season while we ate (yay for DVR) and the kids went to bed. Basically a boring day, but we are having the family over tomorrow for dinner, so that will be nice. I feel like we never see them often enough, even though we all live in such close proximity.

Snack Night fare. In this picture is warm brie with almonds, a blackberry and red wine reduction, pita chips, crab dip, and pita triangles

Snack night, pic two contains prosciutto, garlic-stuffed olives, chutney, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, and brie
