Dubai Aquarium.

One of the main reasons for our going to the new Dubai Mall was to see the Aquarium (and to see the Burj Dubai up close… but that too is another post). At first I almost didn’t even recommend that we went to the Aquarium, but I am so glad that we did! It was absolutely amazing. Not only were there really cool fish, but we got to walk through this huge glass tunnel beneath sharks and fish and divers feeding the sharks and fish. I felt like a kid in a candy store in the tunnel. I never knew I could get so excited to see sharks! But I was a mere 5 or so inches of glass away from touching them. Very cool.

After the tunnel we got to go upstairs to the Discovery Center to see fish and critters from the Amazon. Kaden was pretty taken with the piranhas! Mimi and Papa seemed to really enjoy it too, so I am really glad we decided to go ahead and see it. At one point in the tunnel Papa walked too far backward and into the glass and he said he thought a shark bit him on the head! Lol. Enjoy our pics!

From before we even went in, this fish had me oooing and ahhing!
Kaden looks enthralled! Check out that shark!

  3. That looks like a lot of fun! We went to the one in Boston back when my little guy was like 4 months old, he was not impressed. Maybe he'd like this one, now that he is bigger.

  5. And all this time I always thought it was the Italians that fed the fishes. ;)

  6. Thanks for the post and great photos. I'm visiting Dubai on business, love to see aquaria wherever I go, and heard about this one. Yours was the first hit on Google with pix. I'm going today for sure, now that I see how well done it is. Thanks again
